Our Farmer's market is OPEN!!! Yay - Van, Wyatt and I dropped in and picked up some beautiful tomatoes, pears and blueberries. It only cost a small fortune but I don't mind spending $$ on good food...usually! I'd like to address the Q is eating raw cheap? I'll give my two cents later. Tonight I enjoyed collard green leaf wraps with a whole bunch of greenery, seeds and nuts inside - nice tahini coating. Yummy!

THOSE TOMATOES LOOK AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeletesoo... Today I was reading mothering magazine and there was a recipe for raw pudding so I made it........
1 ripe banana
1 avocado
1/4 cup coco
1/4 cup honey (I think thats raw right?)
then I just put a bit of vanilla and coconut abstract (although
it was supposed to be coconut oil)
then I blended it together and put it in the fridge...It was
AWESOME!! this really only made enough for 2 ppl though :)
Wow!!! That's awesome Tash! Both Derek and I made a face when we learned about avocado in raw pudding, but it totally makes it creamy! I have a lot of raw food cookbooks (too many in fact) and they always put avocado in pudding, it just works! I think the fact that raw food contains no dairy or gluten etc is awesome...so many ppl have no idea what they are sensitive to and this just allows you to think outside the box! xo I will try this!

There is actual raw honey you can buy from the health food store, it's supposed to have a milder taste. Better for you too!
